We’re looking for a motivated Assistant Warehouse Manager in our Mississauga, ON distribution center.

Responsible for the effective and accurate movement and storage of materials in the warehouse. May oversee a combination of operational areas, including receiving, order processing and shipping.
Establishes operational procedures for activities, such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials.
Assists in forecasting labor and resources required to meet KPIs.
Analyze trends and productivity reports to determine staffing schedules.
Actively participates or leads Lean continuous improvement programs by identifying and eliminating process waste.
Ensure that orders arrive and are dispatched on time to the appropriate destinations and in the expected quantities.Inspects physical condition of warehouse and equipment. Responsible for 5s in all assigned departments.
Performs quarterly analysis of all operational supplies usage and spending, implementing cost controls when necessary.
Prepares work orders for repairs of, or requisitions for replacement, equipment.
Oversees all time-off planning in accordance with company procedures.
Participates in planning associate safety and plant protection activities.
Ensures compliance with all Ministry of Labour and other regulatory guidelines related to shipping, storage and associate training.
Reviews and develops standard work instructions for relevant warehouse procedures and ensures timely documented training of team members.
Develops, implements and ensures compliance with safety and ISO requirements.
Maintain performance management process, imitating personnel actions as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university is preferred ; 5+ years’ experience in warehouse distribution management; knowledge of warehouse functions or equivalent combination of education, professional certifications and experience.
Minimum of 5 years operational team management experience.
Thorough understanding of all distribution operations such as receiving, shipping and order processing.
Knowledge of RF scanning in a distribution pick-pack-ship environment.
Experience working in an SAP WM system environment or similar WM system
Experienced with LEAN/Six Sigma, a certified green belt level is preferred
Forklift certification is a plus.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner and listen attentively to others.
Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
Must possess outstanding organizational and problem solving skills.
Strong leadership skills, ability to lead by example.
