We are seeking a Sales Support Representative to provide service support to an assigned customer base, ensuring customer satisfaction and account retention with Lawson.


  • Work as a link between the customer and Lawson’s operations.

  • Provides hands-on account service support to an assigned customer base.

  • Inventories, replenishes and arranges products in bins.

  • Aids customers in locating merchandise.

  • Responds to customer inquiries and requests.

  • Processes product returns.

  • Assists with the set up of new accounts.

  • May assist customers with the Web ordering process.

  • Ensures customer satisfaction and account retention.

  • Solves problems proactively. Makes front-line decisions to provide superior service.

  • Makes simple presentations to customers to develop an understanding of Lawson’s value proposition and demonstrate the quality and reliability of Lawson’s products.

  • Educates customers regarding online marketing programs.

  • Assists in growing accounts through the sale of additional items from Lawson’s product line.

  • Provides information about Lawson and its full line of MRO products.

  • Assesses customer needs to identify and recommend additional products.

  • Reports sales potential to Account Service Manager.


  • Must be able to move up to 50 pounds of product, possibly up and down stairs at customers’ locations.

  • Local travel with some overnights.

  • Must be proficient with technology including MS Office

  • Mechanically inclined

  • Some sales ability
