We’re looking for a Conversion Specialist to drive conversion of local strategic account opportunities through the identification, approach, winning, and tracking of business opportunities for accounts with preferred supplier agreements. This position requires 75% travel. We will consider candidates living anywhere in the West Coast.

This role will work from a home office and will travel to customers. We offer a competitive benefits package that includes 401k plus vision, dental and medical coverage. Employees also receive a paid holiday and PTO package.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as part of a team, partnering with internal support, Strategic Accounts Managers and the field sales team, to identify, approach, win, and track conversion success for strategic customers with preferred supplier agreements.

  • Captures, tracks and reports on all conversion opportunities with existing strategic customers, working with Strategic Accounts and Marketing to build an ongoing, complete, and prioritized target list.

  • Focuses on winning accounts as a whole, fully converting all approved product categories with secured real-estate in the customer’s facility.

  • Leads field sales calls with target customers, traveling to customer sites with Sales Representatives and District Sales Managers whenever possible, to present value of converting to a Lawson program.

  • Provides training to field sales personnel on winning Strategic Account locations on their own, sharing knowledge across the organization through the development and rollout of sales tools.

  • Reviews, develops and maintains procedural documentation with a proactive approach to process improvement.

  • Works cross-functionally with other internal departments as necessary.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational training, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of Strategic Account related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong selling/closing abilities for meaningful accounts.

  • Aggressive hunter with a drive toward winning new business and tenacity to win business beyond a single call.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop working relationships with internal partners.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, remain detail-oriented and accurate, and follow-up to ensure success.

  • Proficiency with personal computers with appropriate Microsoft Office skills to meet administrative needs.

  • Ables to perform with minimal oversight.

  • Ability to develop and manage database of opportunities.

  • Willingness to travel (70% of time spent in the field).

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to obtain and maintain vehicular insurance as required by policy.

  • Requires a broad knowledge of MRO industry policies and products, and familiar with the standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the MRO industry.

We target an annual total compensation level of $70,000-$75,000 in your first year of employment.
