We’re looking for a motivated Purchase Order Expeditor to coordinate our network inventory flows and maintain service levels by expediting purchase orders with our vendors.

  • Confirms purchase orders with vendors, including validating delivery dates.

  • Contacts vendor regrading past due orders, advising management of order delays. Works to resolve order delays and delivery issues.

  • Provides order status updates to sales representatives. Expedites delivery when requested by the sales team. Coordinates returns and vendor error resolutions, such as replacement orders.

  • Updates system (SAP) with current shipping information and other notes. Reviews open lines and respective delivery dates for lead-time accuracy.

  • Responds to customer and sales representative inquiries for stock-checks, status updates and expedite requests. Requests are fielded via email and phone.

  • Works with the logistics team and freight carriers to resolve shipping issues.

  • Assists buyers with supplier non-conformances and AP-invoice resolution (MRBR).

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with 3 years’ experience in purchasing and/or customer service, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Three to five years of SAP experience (MRP/ERP).

  • Strong PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook and Excel.

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
